Mit "Saw" hat alles begannen und mittlerweile ist Regisseur James Wan ("The Conjuring" und "Insidious 2") aus dem Horror-Genre gar nicht mehr wegzudenken. Doch damit ist nun wohl Schluss: Wie Wan in einem Interview bestätigte, will er demnächst keine weiteren Horror-Filme inszenieren:
"I'm going to go on record and say I am finished with the horror genre. 'Conjuring' and 'Insidious 2' are my two last scary movies. I spent the last ten years of my life doing this. It's time for a change."
Somit wird Wan sich aktuell vor allem auf "Fast and Furious 7" konzentrieren.
